PDF to Excel
Editors’ Review
PDF to Excel Converter converts PDF files to Microsoft Excel-compatible files. Online and quick-help options help users of different skill levels quickly master the software.
Pros
Setup: Clicking Setup opens an all-in-one dialog with many options, including word-to-word distance and column spacing. We could also choose or change settings while adding files to convert, too. Finished files opened normally in Excel.
Batch processing: Robust standalone functionality sets PDF to Excel Converter apart from online converters, starting with reliable batch processing that doesn’t depend on an Internet connection or available bandwidth.
Merge and append: PDF to Excel Converter also merges PDFs and appends documents to existing PDF or Excel files.
Cons
Wording: We encountered some poorly translated interface language: “From all PDF documents in an Excel list is generated document.”
Freeware and webware: PDF to Excel Converter faces stiff competition from capable freeware and a plethora of free online converters.
Bottom Line
Users who just need to convert a document or two should probably start with the free alternatives, but if you require a more robust tool for an office environment, check out PDF to Excel Converter.
Editors’ note: This is a review of the trial version of PDF to Excel 3.2.
